Arse & Abs is a circuit class which incorporates cardio and strength training, specific to the core and booty. Created on site by our very own talented Tiree Ballantyne, Personal Trainer.  Arse & Abs uses a combination of body weight exercises as well as fitness equipment to give you a workout that is efficient and effective, toning and defining your targeted muscles and giving you a great calorie burn!

A USual class consists of

  1. Your instructor will demonstrate each station, giving you time to ask questions before beginning.
  2. You will then start on one station for a set time (often changes from 30seconds - 1minute), and continue to complete the full circuit, with approximetaly 10seconds to get to your next station.
  3. Once you have completed round 1 you will get a well deserved breather. Once indicated by the instructor you will begin round 2,and complete the full circuit again. There will be at least 3 rounds with approximately 8-12 stations.
  4. You will finish with a cool down and stretch.

The benefits of Arse & Abs

This Arse & Abs class is suitable for any fitness level. Due to the classes being circuit based there are a range of different benefits you can get from the class. Your strength and cardiovascular fitness will both definitely improve. You may also improve in balance, coordination and agility. There is no coordination required and you can work to your own ability throughout the whole class – with a bit of encouragement from your instructor. Along with your fitness improving from the class, you will find your mental strength also improves, as sometimes that one minute long station can seem like forever!
